Who we are and what this notice covers
Red Rock Tackle is a tackle shop. We sell rods, reels and lures and give honest local advice to the people who come to us. This notice covers this website, astrenik.click, and the contact form on it. It does not cover a conversation in the shop or on the phone, although we treat what you tell us there with the same care.
We run this website ourselves as part of the shop. We do not publish a street address on these pages. For anything about privacy, the e-mail address in the last section of this notice reaches the person who handles these questions, and we answer within two working days.
The information we collect through the contact form
The contact form sends five fields to this website's own server: your name and e-mail address, which are required, and a phone number, a request type and a message, which are optional. Nothing else is asked of you there — no password, no payment details, no marketing preferences.
We use these fields for one purpose only: to answer your request. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not use your message for anything else, and we do not combine it with other information about you. Please write only what is needed for us to help you.
The spam-protection hash
With each request the server stores a one-way hash of your IP address. A hash is a scrambled value from which the original address cannot practically be read back. It serves one purpose: to block automated spam by limiting requests from the same source to at most five per hour.
Requests and hashes are deleted automatically after six months. They are kept no longer, and nobody reviews them for any other reason. The limit exists so that the form stays usable for real customers instead of being flooded with automated messages.
Where the website and its data live
The website runs on a rented server of a hosting provider in the European Union. That provider is a data processor: it stores the data on our instruction and does not use it for its own purposes. The server keeps standard access logs for security, such as the time of a request.
Because the server stands in the European Union, a message you send from Australia is processed there. We keep the arrangement deliberately simple: one server, one processor, and no advertising or analytics services attached to the pages you read.
What the website does not do
The site has no membership area, no payments and no analytics. It carries no advertising trackers and no third-party embeds, so no outside company sees your visit through these pages. The site also sets no cookies at all. Everything on it can be read straight away, without any formality.
Browser storage on your own device holds a short, fixed list of things: your choice in the cookie banner, the colour scheme you picked for the helper apps, the items you saved and your diary entries. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings whenever you wish.
The free helper apps
The website provides free helper tools that you can install on your device. Installing one adds an offline copy of its pages to that device, so the tool keeps working without a connection. The apps contain no games, no points and no purchases, and using them costs nothing.
What you write in a helper app, such as saved items or diary entries, is kept in your browser storage on the device. It is not sent to us and we cannot see it. If you remove the app or clear your browser storage, that content goes with it.
Products, orders and payment
Products and services are ordered by phone or in person, not through this website. Payment is made in the shop or on delivery, as agreed when you order. The website takes no payment and asks for no card or bank details, so none are stored here.
If you send us a message about a product, we use your contact details to answer that question and to arrange the order you asked about. Prices shown on the site are indicative, and the price that applies is the one we confirm when you order.
Disclosure and your rights
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it on for marketing. Apart from our hosting provider, we disclose it only where the law requires us to. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
Write to info@astrenik.click to make such a request, and we will answer within two working days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001, https://www.oaic.gov.au.
How long we keep information
Contact-form requests and the spam hashes are deleted automatically after six months. We keep nothing else from the website, because the website stores nothing else about you. Information you give us in the shop or by phone is kept only as long as we need it to serve you.
If you want a request removed sooner, write to us and we will delete it where we can. Clearing your browser storage removes the saved items, diary entries and colour preferences on your own device immediately, without any request to us.
Changes and how to reach us
If this notice changes, the new version appears on this page and applies from the moment it is published. We keep the wording plain, and we do not add purposes that we have not described here.
Questions about privacy can go to info@astrenik.click; the website is at astrenik.click. We answer within two working days. The same address reaches us for anything else about the shop, including stock questions and advice about rods, reels and lures.
